Midnight…Morning
It can be tough in the midnight hours to shed the identity you have had to hold to step into Godʼs promise of the morning. I heard someone say once the early hours of morning can still look like the night. As we keep our eyes on Him, He will bring you into the beauty of a new tomorrow effortlessly. Be blessed His Beauties! -
H.C. Daniels
A fog in the distance reigns amidst the integrity of a promise
Worry, fear and doubt cycle unable to halt progress
He will guide me with His righteous, right hand
Through it all, my heart answering His call
A long road ahead decreasing vision forecasting dreams
Visions of a bright future, grace abounding through the struggle
Natural eyes detect a sight unspoken ahead
His Word calms feelings, step forward daughter of Zion
You will not fall, my heart answers His call
Is it midnight still, or morning
Dusk or dawn, they appear the same
Bracing for taunts of imagined rest in the shame
They simply appear no more, giants dissipated
His love so good, my fears overrated
Heavens embrace, Love walks with me, keep your eyes up
Lean on Him as He fills my cup
Shadows hint the suggestion of a new day
The Potter ensuring trustʼs reveal, molding clay
Prepared for battle, but the dust has settled
My position is praise, adoring the Savior
Delivering me into garments made clean
White as snow, His Word is more than enough
Vision written through pain,
Hopeʼs lens making Your purpose plain
I surrender for I know,
His promises never fail me
Midnight becomes morning, trusting His might
He leads me gently through the night
Calming at a found hope, relieving fight or flight
A coolness in the breeze of tomorrow,
Leaping forward into what I never knew
But I know Him, and so I know a profound Joy
Simple and complex, a mystery of His beauty
Captured and experienced as I cling to Him
Jesus You are my deepest longing,
Transforming through the journey,
As we embark, untraveled morning
Intimacy with You illuminates the path,
I hold Your hand tightly
Resting in Your arms is my greatest delight,
in the morning emerging from the night.
Keeping my eyes on You, I give You my all
My heart will always answer Your call…
In the midnight…morning.
